Treatments
Intracranial angioplasty and stenting
In this procedure, small, extremely flexible and soft
balloon micro catheters with stents are maneuvered into
the cerebral circulation through the femoral artery.
First an angioplasty is performed, which opens the blocked
artery or blood vessel by inflating the balloon. After
the artery has been opened, a stent or small flexible
cylindrical mesh tube is inserted into the artery to
prevent further blockages.
Carotid and vertebral artery stenting
In this procedure, small, extremely flexible and soft
balloon micro catheters with stents are inserted through
the femoral artery and maneuvered through the vascular
system into the narrow stenosis of the carotid and vertebral
arteries. First an angioplasty is performed, which opens
the blocked artery or blood vessel by inflating the
balloon. After the artery has been opened, a stent or
small flexible cylindrical mesh tube is inserted into
the artery to prevent further blockages.
Intracranial thrombolysis
In this procedure a micro catheter is navigated from
the femoral artery all the way into the intracranial
circulation to the area of abnormal circulation or occlusion
where a local therapeutic infusion is given into the
cerebrospinal circulation.
Clot retrieval devices
In Time is a clot retrieval device that allows the
mechanical removal of a blood clot responsible for obstruction
of a blood vessel. This device associated with thrombolysis
increases our chances to better manage acute strokes.
