CINN's Multidisciplinary Approach to Treating Brain Tumors

Given the complexity of treating patients with brain tumors, a multidisciplinary approach, comprised of a neuro-focused team, is critical. CINN has a long-standing collaboration with physicians representing a continuum of services to treat the brain tumor patient. Together with the CINN neurosurgeons, this team treats more brain tumor patients than any other group of physicians in the Chicagoland area. CINN’s multidisciplinary team includes:

	Neurosurgeons — Physicians specialized in the surgical treatment of brain tumors and other diseases of the nervous system.
	Neurologists — Physicians specialized in the diagnosis and medical management of diseases of the nervous system.
	Neuropathologists — Physicians specialized in the diseases affecting the nervous system. Neuropathologists work closely with neurosurgeons in interpreting operative specimens and establishing a diagnosis.
	Neuro-oncologists — Physicians who are cancer specialists and treat tumors of the nervous system.
	Neuro radiation oncologists — Physicians specialized in using radiation therapy to treat cancers of the nervous system.
	Neuroradiologists — Physicians specialized in radiographic studies and techniques. Neuroradiologists work closely with neurosurgeons to develop optimal treatment plans for patients.
