CINN Fellowship Program
 |
On Friday August 31st, 2007, Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch bid a fond farewell to Dr. Muhammad Mahmud who completed his fellowship under CINN Chief of Surgery, Dr. Gail Rosseau. During a two month period, Dr. Mahmud has observed neurosurgery procedures—surgical and radiosurgical—as well as performed retrospective reviews of the treatment parameters and outcomes of patients afflicted with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). |
After being in the US for nearly a year, Nigerian native, Muhammad Mahmud, MD will move back to his country to be one of a very few practicing neurosurgeons. Neurosurgery in Nigeria has only been practiced since the early 60’s. As neurosurgical practice progresses in Nigeria, Dr. Rosseau and the CINN team will stay in touch with Dr. Mahmud as colleagues and as friends. His country is fortunate to have such a devoted civilian to help the advancement of neurosurgery in Nigeria. We wish Dr. Mahmud all the best in his career as a Nigerian neurosurgeon.
