Sandra Davis
Vice President, Endovascular Services and Research
Sandra L. Davis is Vice President of Endovascular
Services and Research at the Chicago Institute
of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch, Chicago ,
Illinois . Ms. Davis has over 20 years of experience
in healthcare administration and clinical research.
Throughout her career Ms. Davis has been involved
with the multiple phases of Neuroresearch and
Oncology research, including both drug and device
trials. She has extensive experience in data
collection and management, navigating the regulatory
process, and contract preparation for trial activites.
Ms. Davis received her certificate in radiologic
technology from the West Virginia University
Hospitals School of Radiologic Technology in
1988, her B.A. from West Virginia University
in 1992, and her M.B.A. from Northern Illinois
University in 1997. She has multiple advanced
certifications which include radiology administration,
mammography, and magnetic resonance imaging.
Ms. Davis is a member of Neurosurgery Executives
Resource Value and Education Society (NERVES),
the Association of Clinical Research Professionals
(ACRP), the Society of Clinical Research Associates
(SoCRA), the American College of Healthcare Executives
(ACHE), the Association of Healthcare Radiology
Administrator (AHRA), and the Medical Group Management
Association (MGMA). As a member of the community,
Ms. Davis actively supports the Susan G. Komen
for the Cure, the Alzheimer's Association, and
the American Cancer Society.
Michelle Catalano
Clinical Research Coordinator
Michelle Catalano is a Clinical Research Coordinator
at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch,
Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Catalano has over four
years of experience in clinical research.
Since joining CINN in 2003, Ms. Catalano has
been been the primary coordinator of the post
approval phase of the Charite Artificial Disc
Study, the Penumbra Study for treatment of ischemic
stroke through endovascular clot removal, and
the TFAS Study for treatment of spinal stenosis
through facet joint replacement.
Ms. Catalano received a BS in biology from Loyola
University, Chicago, Illinois in 1995. In addition
to her research experience, she has over 8 years
of diverse business experience in positions of
progressively increasing responsibilities.
Ms. Catalano is a member of the Association of
Clinical Research Professionals and an active
volunteer with The CINN Foundation Associates,
a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving
the lives of individuals with neurologic disorders
through basic and clinical research, education
and community outreach. Her interests include
listening to live music, dancing, reading, traveling
and playing with her dog.
Grant S. Griffin
Clinical Research Coordinator
Grant S. Griffin is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch, Chicago, IL.
A native of New Hampton, IA, Mr. Griffin received
a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University
of Iowa, Iowa City, IA in May 2005. Following
graduation, Mr. Griffin entered healthcare and
became a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician,
IDPH Nurse Aide, and American Heart Association
Healthcare Provider. He earned his CPR and AED
Certification with additional training in EKG
and respiratory therapy. Mr. Griffin completed
formal clinical research training through the
Northwestern Center for Clinical Research of
the Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, IL.
Mr. Griffin joined the CINN Research Team in
2007 and has primary coordinator responsibility
of several clinical projects, including the
MAPS Trial evaluating coils for treatment of
intracranial saccular aneurysms, NPH Registry
for collection of data on treatments and outcomes
of Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus patients, and
the Sapphire WW Registry for evaluation of the
effects of procedural treatment of carotid artery
disease.
Mr. Griffin is an Associate Member of The CINN
Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated
to improving the lives of individuals with neurologic
disorders through basic and clinical research,
education, and community outreach. He is also
a new member of the Wilmette Community Band.
Previously, Mr. Griffin devoted efforts to Literacy
Chicago, Community Health Clinic, International
Museum of Surgical Science, Evanston Medical
Reserve Corps, and the Evanston Historical Society.
He enjoys reading, watching films, and spending
assorted time with his wife, Amanda, his dog,
Sophie, and his family and friends in both Chicago
and Iowa.
